Dating back to 1860, the Jardin d'Acclimatation boasts some 1,800 trees. Designed by the landscape gardener Jean-Pierre Barillet-Deschamps at the behest of Napoleon III, this was the first amusement and leisure park in France. Amidst its 18 hectares of gorgeous greenery you’ll find a river lined with cherry trees, an educational farm with a host of friendly animals and dozens of rides and attractions to delight young and old alike!

Inaugurated in 1992 on the site of the old Citroën car factory, this unusual 24-hectare park shelters two greenhouses, extensive lawns and various superb themed gardens. It also offers the chance to rise above the streets of Paris in a tethered balloon (whose colour indicates the air quality) for a panoramic view of the capital. And to cool you off in the heat of summer, water jets spring directly from the ground.
The Champ-de-Mars and its breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower
Located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the Champ-de-Mars is an open public garden covering almost 25 hectares. A great meeting place, it invites Parisians and visitors alike to spread their tablecloths on its well-manicured grass. After a good picnic, you can have a game of table tennis and the children will love the park's rides.
Enjoy an unforgettable summer break in the parks and gardens of Paris!
