Cool off in the 15th arrondissement…
Posted in Paris le 1 July 2022
When Paris sizzles in the summer heat, we need to cool off and relax. And what better way is there than by being in or on the water? Whether you are visiting the capital with your partner or your family, the 15th arrondissement offers a wealth of watery pleasures. Discover them just a few minutes from the Hotel Alizé Grenelle.
Fun and exercise in the open air at the Arche Javel
This year, a superb floating swimming pool and guinguette opened. Moored by the Quai de Javel, an extension of the Parc André Citroën, it’s just a ten-minute walk from the Hotel Alizé Grenelle. Imagine a floating open-air Olympic swimming pool on the Seine, with adjacent relaxation areas, gym facilities and even a guinguette where you can dance the night away. There’s no doubt that the Arche Javel will be the hit of the 15th arrondissement this summer!
Fun on and in the water
For fun alone or with your family, go to Aquaboulevard. This 7,000 m² urban water park offers slides, wave pools, counter-current rivers, and outdoor beaches, as well as Jacuzzis and relaxation areas. Plenty to keep you entertained all day! And if you want to learn to surf like they do on the Basque coast, check out the newly opened Wave in Paris. With its 16 x 10 metres static wave, you can have great fun and excitement while learning to surf. If you’d rather stay dry, you can simply relax by watching the would-be surfers, playing a game of squash or sipping a cold drink.
The 15th arrondissement has plenty of options for refreshing breaks during your Parisian summer break at the Hotel Alizé Grenelle. And when all that watery fun gives you an appetite, head to the Rue de Cambronne, where you'll find the best baguette in Paris!
